A Mother's Peace is a part of the Masako Tale storyline in Ghost of Tsushima. It becomes available by talking to a peasant in the Golden Temple after completion of The Husband.

Synopsis[]

Jin Sakai searches for Lady Masako near Komoda Beach, finds her fighting a group of Mongols and helps her dispatch the remaining enemies. Masako explains that she is searching for the bodies of her two sons so she can give them a proper burial. Jin offers to help and they begin to search the beach. They encounter several banners of Clan Adachi  along the way, while Jin comes across his horse's body and pays his respects.

After reaching the end of the banner trail, Jin and Masako find her sons' bodies hanging like animals. Masako says that she would like to take the bodies to the Adachi Estate, but Jin warns that the journey would be far too dangerous. Masako then suggests the nearby Komoda Lighthouse, as her sons loved to play there when they were younger. The lighthouse is surrounded by Mongol soldiers, but Jin and Masako eventually defeat them.

Once her sons are buried, Masako recalls that she wouldn't let her sons stay at the lighthouse overnight, even as they grew older, but now she has to. She thanks Jin for his help and asks to be alone so she can take her time to mourn.

Objectives[]

Journal entries[]

Masako was seen riding at the battlefield of Komoda Beach, a place of unfinished business for her and myself, but Mongols still hold the area. I'll see if I can find her.
― Jin, before starting the Tale

I returned to Komoda Beach, finding painful memories of our lost battle - as well as Lady Masako looking for her fallen sons. She won't stop until she lays her boys to rest. There are too many dead to count, but I can't leave her to do this alone.
