A Place to Call Home is a side tale in Ghost of Tsushima.
Synopsis[]
As Jin is exploring the area west of the Golden Temple in Ariake, a man runs toward him crying for help. Jin asks the man what is wrong, and the man frantically says that the Mongols have taken his house, and his wife and child are there. Jin is disappointed that the man left his family at the house with the Mongols and hurries to the house, which is surrounded by Mongols.
Jin kills all the Mongols and goes inside the house to talk with the man's family, but he sees no signs of them in the house. He goes outside and notices a basket of damp laundry, indicating that whatever happened happened quickly. He the notices two trails of blood leading away from the house and into Komatsu prefecture. Jin follows the trail and finds the body of a woman. Nearby, he also spots a child's toy, though he does not find a body.
Jin concludes that the man's family is no more, thanks to the Mongols. Jin goes to meet the man who has arrived at the dock near his house. Jin breaks the sad news, and the man collapses in anguish. Jin comforts him and encourages the man to resist the Mongols and help those in need.
