Enjo (円浄; Enjou) was a warrior monk of Cedar Temple and Norio's brother. He was a fearless warrior who serves as guardian of the temple. Following the Mongol invasion, he is captured and presumably killed by the invaders.
It is later revealed that, when his brother and companions were trapped and he was pulled aside to be apparently executed, he was burnt and quartered. When the Ghost, Norio and various other warrior monks reclaim the Cedar Temple from the Mongols, he is found by his brother, who asks Jin Sakai to have a moment alone with him. During this private conversation, it is assumed that Enjo reveals Nio who his torturer (Kharchu) was, as well as asking him to end his life, petition that Norio fulfills.
