For Tsushima is a side tale in Ghost of Tsushima.
Synopsis[]
Jin Sakai meets a Guardian training outside of Azamo Inn. The Guardian tells Jin that she is from Ariake and is searching for the "Azamo League", a group of farmers and fishermen who are fighting back against the Mongols. The Guardian notes that they were supposed to meet her hours ago, and that she was about to go look for them. Jin and the Guardian ride to the farmhouse, where the leaders reside. As they ride to the farmhouse, the Guardian remarks that she always wanted to be a samurai. Jin notes that she is good at fighting and riding a horse, to which the Guardian responds that pirates attacked her coast, killing her parents when she was younger, thus forcing her to defend herself and eventually hope to teach others the same.
As the two reach the farmhouse, they find it engulfed in flames and surrounded by Mongols. The duo defeat the Mongols and go to see the dead bodies, who the Guardian recognize as the people she was training. A Mongol horn sounds off, and the Guardian rushes off to where it came from. Jin tries to slow down the Guardian, but to no avail, and hastily follows her. They reach another encampment on fire. Jin notes that a samurai remains calm before a fight, but the Guardian rushes in to battle.
Jin and the Guardian defeat the Mongols and reconvene. Jin compliments the Guardian's fighting, but tells her that she needs to maintain her anger, as she almost died rushing into battle. Jin advises her that a samurai's greatest weapon is themselves; if they lose control of it, they risk defeat. The Guardian acknowledges Jin's lesson and vows to train and master her emotions. Otherwise if Jin let's the Guardian die during the fight he will instead say " You fought and died for our people like a true samurai."
