A gift from Taka to enhance the tactics of the Ghost... And a good friend's final creation.
― In-game description

The Ghost Armor is an armor set that is earned during the mission From the Darkness. The armor was made by Taka and given to Jin Sakai by Yuna. Jin notes that the armor is designed in a way to enhance the tactics of the Ghost, which increases Jin's stealth and inspires fear in the Mongols. The armor set includes a headband, a mask, and body armor. It has been heavily featured in promotional art for Ghost of Tsushima.

Trivia[]

  • Whenever Jin dons the Ghost Armor, he gains a third blade on his back. While it serves no function in-game, it is likely this blade is meant to represent a Wakizashi, given that it's shorter than the Sakai Katana (but longer than the Sakai Tanto) and has a slightly straighter blade.
  • It's actually possible to obtain both the Righteous Punishment and Vow of Vengeance dyes on the same save file without playing through New Game+, but the opportunity is very easy to miss.
    1. After completing Eternal Blue Sky, head to Omi Village to commence The Tale of Lord Shimura.
    2. Proceed with the tale as usual, compose the final Haiku, and duel Lord Shimura.
    3. Once Lord Shimura is defeated, make your choice to either Kill or Spare him.
    4. Following the end credits, Jin will be at his new hideout, clad in his Ghost Armor with the corresponding new dye applied:
    5. Instead of leaving the hideout, immediately pause the game and navigate to your Journal. Go into Jin's Journey and Abandon the tale.
    6. Jin will be transported just outside of Omi Village, as if he never started the tale, but he won't lose the dye he obtained.
    7. Play through The Tale of Lord Shimura once again, and make the choice you didn't pick the first time.
    8. After the credits roll, Jin will be at the hideout received from the ending you picked this time, but now he has the Ghost Armor dyes from both endings.
