Ghost of Tsushima: Legends is a co-op multiplayer mode for Ghost of Tsushima that was released on October 16, 2020. It is a cooperative mode in which players are able to choose from four available classes: Samurai, Hunter, Ronin, or Assassin. Legends is separate from the single-player campaign of Ghost of Tsushima, though certain items in Legends are unlocked through progression in Jin's Journey, and is a free download for owners of Ghost of Tsushima. Players are able to cooperatively take on new missions based on Japanese mythology.[2] Starting September 3, 2021, Legends can also be purchased as a standalone game for those who do not own Ghost of Tsushima, for US$19.99.[3]
Sony's paid subscription service, PlayStation Plus, is required in order to play Legends with other players. However, Legends can be played solo without a PlayStation Plus membership.
Story[]
Legends contains nine story chapters and one three-part raid.
After the initial invasion of Tsushima by the Mongol Empire, The evil and demonic Oni were unleashed upon the mortal realm. However four legendary warriors from Tsushima's past have been resurrected to fight against both the Mongol hordes and the Oni.

Survival has six possible stages, that can be done with up to four players. The available stages in Survival are The Shores of Vengeance, The Defense of Aoi Village, The Shadows of War, Blood in the Snow, Twilight and Ashes and Blood and Steel.

In patch 2.04, a Rivals mode was added to Legends to be playable starting September 3, 2021.[3] Rivals is a mode where two teams of two players each face off against each other, as they defeat waves of enemies to build up Magatama. Magatama can then be spent on tools that will either buff the team or debuff the other team, including Curses, hwachas, and more. The available stages in Rivals are In the Realm of the Dead, Siege in Heaven, Trials of the Kami, and The Arena of Shadows.
