Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut is a collection consisting of Ghost of Tsushima and its Iki Island expansion, for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles. It also includes all content that was included with the digital deluxe edition of the base game. It was released on August 20, 2021 on the PS5 and May 16, 2024 on PC. Unlike the base game, Director's Cut includes PlayStation 5-specific enhancements, including dynamic 4K resolution (as opposed to 1080p from the backwards-compatible port); haptic feedback and adaptive triggers in the DualSense controller; Japanese lip-syncing; and reduced load times.

Edition variants[]

Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut will retail for $59.99 on PlayStation 4 and $69.99 on PlayStation 5. In addition, existing owners of Ghost of Tsushima can upgrade to the Director's Cut edition as follows:

  • The upgrade from the PS4 version of the base game to the PS4 version of Director's Cut costs $19.99.
  • The upgrade from the PS4 version of the base game to the PS5 version of the Director's Cut costs $29.99.
  • The upgrade from the PS4 version of the Director's Cut to the PS5 version of Director's Cut costs an additional $9.99.

Note: The PS4 version the Director's Cut, like the base game, can both be played on the PS5 with existing enhancements (faster load times than on PS4 as well as 60fps gameplay, instead of 30fps); the $10 upgrade to the PS5 version drastically reduces load times, increases the resolution from 1080p to 2160p (4K), adds haptic feedback to the controller and allows for Japanese lip sync to go with the Japanese voice acting.

Additionally, pre-order bonuses for the Director's Cut include a digital mini soundtrack featuring tracks from Ghost of Tsushima and Iki Island, and a digital art book featuring art from Ghost of Tsushima and 10 pieces of Iki Island concept art.
