The grapple hook, or kaginawa, is one of Jin Sakai's tools in Ghost of Tsushima. It was made for him by Taka the blacksmith to help with climbing the walls of Castle Kaneda and saving Lord Shimura from Khotun Khan, after Jin rescued Taka from the Mongol Empire at the request of Yuna, Taka's sister. It can be used to swing across gaps or to climb up obstacles. In addition, it can be used to hook onto ziplines and climb up on them. Upon arriving on Iki Island, Jin now has the ability to pull objects, such as barricades, small bridges and other structures that unlock new areas.
