Gyozen is a storyteller that travels all throughout Tsushima. He tells stories of Ghosts, fighting against Oni and Mongols in an effort to free the Island. These tales evoke hope and desire of freedom in the people of Tsushima. His stories take place in locations all throughout Tsushima, which Jin Sakai can visit, except for certain stories that occur in Tsushima's coast.
Mechanics[]
Gyozen can appear on normal mode in different locations on the map, marked as undiscovered locations until Jin approaches them. Through them, the player can easily change from normal mode to Legends mode without having to go back to the menu.
In Legends mode, he is the narrator that tells the stories of the Ghosts the players control. He often adds remarks when the players do something extraordinary such as: Striking a Headshot with a bow, Assassinating an enemy from above, getting a Perfect Parry, etc...
In Silver Difficulty or above, two of the extra objective in the Stories are 'Finding Gyozen's lost scrolls' and 'Surviving Gyozen's Curse'.
Appearance[]
Gyozen appears as an old, seemingly blind man who tells stories while sitting down, usually with papers scribbled with characters scrambled around him. He is occasionally seen with a staff or with ink to write his stories.
Gyozen's Headband can be found and used by The Ghost.
Quotes[]

Trivia[]
- He recites parts of different Legends stories when Jin passes nearby, based on the current location of Jin (e.g. if Jin visits his spot in Hiyoshi Springs, Gyozen will proceed to tell details of "The Tale of Uchitsune" story).
- He often makes remarks in Legends Survival Mode if the players do something he considers extraordinary.
- He mentions that he met Uchitsune.
- The Undiscovered Locations (?) where he is located seem to contain some sort of bug. When you have one of this locations marked and get in around 30m of your objective, the guiding wind will disappear and appear as if you have not selected an objective. The ? symbol also disappears from the map.
