Honor and Ash is part of the main story campaign, Jin's Journey, during Act 3: Kill the Khan.

Lord Shimura has exiled Jin because his ghost techniques do not fit within the bushido code of the samurai. With his horse severely injured, Jin must travel through the frozen landscape of Kamiagata to meet up with Yuna at the Sacred Tree at Kin Sanctuary.
Objectives[]
- Exit the building and escape Castle Shimura
- Use the slacklines to stay above the enemies' line of sight
- Find your horse in the stables
- Mount your horse and ride like the wind
- Reunite with Yuna - Reach the Sacred Tree
- Since you do not have any weapons at the moment, you must not be seen (it will fail this objective)
- Investigate the area
- Follow the trail of dead bodies behind the tree
- Retrieve your gear from the chest inside the room
- The map will show you are at Fort Jogaku
- Meet Yuna near the lookout tower
- Grab a sashimono banner from the empty stall of the stables on the way to the tower
- Climb the tower and survey the area
- Reach the stables and ride with Yuna to Jogaku Temple
- Head to the frozen lake and survey the area
- Approach the fishing village
- Take out two (2) guards standing by the tent on the outskirts
- Use the rope line to reach the main building
- Defeat four (4) Mongols before you free the prisoners inside
- Review the plan of attack - follow Yuna to another survey area and pinpoint the cart of explosives in the middle of the frozen lake
- Set off the signal fireworks and return to Yuna
- Wait for the enemies to get close to the explosives cart then hit it with a fire arrow
- Defeat any remaining Mongols
- Scout the grounds of Jogaku Temple
- If you grapple to the top of the pagoda, you will find the Crooked Kama Headband vanity gear
- Find and climb the frozen waterfall
- Defeat the enemies and rescue the hostages
- All archers now have poison arrows, so take them out first - there are five (5) in this area
- There are also three (3) swordsmen, three (3) shieldmen and a brute, along with the leader/warlord
- Make sure you don't allow any of them to kill the hostages or the objective will fail
