Shadow of the Samurai is part of the main story campaign, Jin's Journey, during Act 1: Rescue Lord Shimura.
Synopsis[]
I finally have the tools and allies I need to rescue my uncle from Castle Kaneda. Before we strike out, I should speak with Yuna at the town of Komatsu Forge and see if she's planning to join my fight. I'm coming for you, Lord Shimura.

Jin Sakai and his allies are ready to infiltrate Castle Kaneda and rescue Lord Shimura. After speaking with Yuna, Lady Masako and Sensei Ishikawa, Jin discovers Ryuzo isn't there, but he cannot wait any longer. Jin must become the Ghost again so he doesn't raise any alarms while trying to open the gate for his allies. Once the gate is open, they must battle their way up to the keep, only to discover why Ryuzo never showed up (as if his constant nagging about losing the tournament so many years ago didn't clue you in to an inevitable betrayal). Once Ryuzo's “if you can’t beat them, join them” mentality is out of the way, Jin continues into the keep and up to the top floor where he finally reunites with his uncle.

At last, we are ready to rescue my uncle. Everyone has come to help my task... everyone except Ryuzo. I hoped he had changed, but knowing him, the Straw Hats will arrive just in time to reap the reward of our hard work. I must remain focused. It's time we break into Castle Kaneda and rescue Lord Shimura.
