Fort Mitodake is attacked in hopes of severing Iyo's hold on Tsushima

The Fire Spirits of Yarikawa is the ninth story mission of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends. It revolves around reading Iyo's plans and stopping further progress of her mission in Tsushima.
Chapter 1[]
Fire Spirits launching projectiles on the Ghosts as they approach the fort.
The ghosts have to read Iyo's scrolls to learn more about her plans to take over Tsushima. They first have to enter Fort Mitodake by crossing the bridge and taking out the accompanying Mongol scouts. Upon reaching the entrance, the fort's gates close, forcing the ghosts to enter through a side opening. After entering, the ghosts take out the Mongol guards in the first courtyard of the fort, as well as the Fire Spirit on a perch, before deploying a black powder bomb at the entrance to the second courtyard of the fort.

Upon entering the second courtyard, the ghosts encounter more Mongol guards and another perched Fire Spirit. The ghosts take out all of the enemies and search for more of Iyo's plans. They reach a corridor, which they promptly sprint through to avoid the barrage from more Fire Spirits. They exit the corridor and take out the Fire Spirit and accompanying guards, before passing through the Torii gate. As the ghosts go through the Torii gate, Gyozen elaborates that the Fire Spirits may have been created by the Mongols, but were given live and fury by Iyo as a weapon of revenge.

Chapter 2[]
The start of the second chapter.
The Mongols encounter another Fire Spirit and Mongols that they promptly take out. They destroy the wooden gate to the next area, where they have to search for Iyo's four plans among another Fire Spirit and more Mongol enemies. After finding the plans, the ghosts discover that Iyo is building an army in the blood realms and is building a bridge between the blood realms and Tsushima. After the ghosts defeat the enemies, they enter the Torii gate to progress further into the camp.
As the ghosts pass through the Torii pathway, Gyozen narrates that Iyo plans to perform a blood sacrifice known as hitobashira, which would strengthen a structure such that it can not be broken.

Chapter 3[]
The ghosts reach the top of Fort Mitodake to find an iron wall. Similar to how they first entered the fort, the Ghosts find openings in the sides and infiltrate the final part of the fort. Iyo's forces begin to appear from the blood portal (in the form of a cursed Torii gate) created at the top of the portal. There is also a Fire Spirit next to the blood portal. At the beginning of the fight, there are an Oni Brute and a Disciple of Iyo, among various Mongol soldiers.
As the ghosts defeat these enemies and approach the cursed Torii gate, Iyo sends out the final part of her army at the ghosts, including more Oni Brutes and Mongol dogs and soldiers. After a hard-fought battle, the ghosts destroy Iyo's blood portal. Not only do they sever Iyo's path to Tsushima, but the ghosts also open a path for them to pursue Iyo to her realm to stop the onibaba once and for all.
