The Walls of Yarikawa is part of the main story campaign, Jin's Journey, during Act 2: Retake Castle Shimura.
Synopsis[]
Jin Sakai and Yuna must find a way inside Yarikawa Stronghold in an attempt to convince the remaining members of Clan Yarikawa to help join the fight against the Mongol Empire and recapture Castle Shimura. Not only do the people of Yarikawa harbor extreme resentment towards Lord Shimura, but the Mongols have made a huge camp outside the stronghold, making it very difficult for anyone to get inside. Having grown up in Yarikawa, Yuna and Taka know of a secret entrance underneath the waterfall, but they're not sure if it is still accessible. The three (3) must take the risk of sneaking past the Mongols and into Yarikawa Stronghold so they can speak with the steward.
Objectives[]
- Head to the Ruins of Old Yarikawa and speak with Yuna
- Follow Yuna and Taka
- You'll encounter a group of Mongol soldiers at a crossroads, allow them to pass without being detected
- Survey the camp for a way to infiltrate Yarikawa Stronghold
- Find your way across the river towards the secret entrance
- Do not alert the Mongols (use yurts, pampas grass, burning buildings and gaps in fences to help you stay out of sight)
- Jump into the river, then follow it under a bridge while keeping to the left
- Just before you turn left towards the waterfall, pause for a few seconds as there is a small Mongol horse patrol to your right that will turn and head the other way
- Go under the waterfall and meet the guard
- Follow the guard to meet Steward Ujimasa
- Follow the guard to the main gate to investigate, then follow the guard back to the steward
- Find Taka at the swordsmith's shop
Journal Entry[]
Yuna insists she can help recruit the people of Yarikawa to my uncle's cause, even though they've hated Lord Shimura ever since he put down the Yarikawa Rebellion years ago. I may not share Yuna's confidence - but she's resourceful and rarely wrong. I hope this works.

Trivia[]
- If the player has already completed all of Yuna's tales, Taka can mention the events of what happened in Otsuna and defeating Altan and his allies.
