The Warrior's Code is the first mission of Jin's Journey in Act 1: Rescue Lord Shimura in Ghost of Tsushima.
Synopsis[]
Jin Sakai meets with Yuna south of Kechi Fishing Village, finding that she had just survived an assassin's attack. They ride towards a camp that Yuna suspects may have her brother, the blacksmith Taka. They reach the camp and Jin suggests that they go in through the front door and fight honorably. Yuna advises that the prisoners will be killed immediately, so they must take out the Mongols covertly. Jin hesitates, stating that he made a promise not to betray the samurai code.
Jin and Yuna survey the camp and find a weak opening near the back. Jin uses Focused Hearing to mark his enemies' locations. Jin hesitates, but hoping to save any prisoners, assassinates the Mongol soldier from behind. During a flashback, Jin remembers a story about tracking a bear with his uncle: Lord Shimura tells Jin that a samurai must control his emotions and he should honorably attack his enemies face-to-face.
Jin and Yuna continue through the camp and silently dispatch the Mongols. They do not find Taka, but are able to free a Straw Hat Ronin prisoner who tells Jin and Yuna that there was a blacksmith in the last prisoner group that was being escorted to Azamo Bay. Jin notes that Azamo Bay is walled off, but Yuna states that she has a friend for the job.
A cutscene shows Castle Kaneda, where Khotun Khan tries to convince Lord Shimura to surrender for the sake of his people. Lord Shimura declines and the Khan informs him that Jin is still alive.
